A Destination Wedding in Bareilly, Fatehganj
When Ankita expressed her desire that she would love to have me as her wedding photographer about 5 years ago, She wasn’t even dating anyone. But somewhere during the pandemic in 2020 her wedding date got fixed and as unlikely as it seemed to travel from Mumbai to Bareilly, me and a team of 6 made it to her big day. We got the grandest welcome from her family who showered us with flowers and garlands and sweets as we stepped into the hotel that she had booked for us the first night we landed. The love and affection that was shown to all of us all the days that followed was something that I have never experienced in all the 11 years of my stint as a Wedding photographer and film maker in India.
Their story is unique. Ankita is a Christian Methodist girl and Avadh is a Hindu boy. But as they say when love happens there is nothing to stop two hearts from joining in an everlasting bond. As sweet as this couple is, their families were even sweeter. We felt like home and it was a sad parting at the end of our 7 day stay in North India. We also got to travel with them to Beautiful Nanital as part of our tour with them.
Truly an incredible experience that will forever be etched in my memory.
